Looking for foods to use in enrichment activities or to supplement your pet’s diet? These lists of options, for dogs and for cats, is pulled from recommendations provided by the ASPCA, Chewy and Purina. However, you should always introduce new foods to your pet gradually, as tolerances differ from pet to pet. For example, some cats and dogs cannot breakdown down lactose so dairy products will upset their digestive system. When in doubt, check with your vet. Also note that it’s best to cut the foods you offer into bite-sized pieces and remove any seeds, stems or peels.
